combobox - matchentry

Can anyone give me the code I need to be able to use the matchentry
functionality from VB6? I have a combo box with over 5000 numeric serial
numbers and want to be able to enter the beginning numbers to narrow down the
search. If at all possible I'd like to stick with the default combobox or
one close since I've go much of the app already coded. I have the combo box
style set to DropDownList.

No, this looked like they worked for dropdown styles but not dropdownlist
styles.
