combobox empty

why when i use a query that works alone not fill my combobox. i get a long
empty list.
my data source consists of linked tables to excel spreadsheets if that might
be a clue.

Sounds as though you're using Access 2003 and you just recently installed
SP3.

If so, check the hotfix at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945674

If not, what version of Access are you using?
