Combo drive problem

Every time I start the computer, combo drive doesn't read any cd. CDRom is
active in My Computer and it shows me that there are no conflicts or any
other problems on this device. If I want to use it normaly I have to disable
it and then enable it. I went to Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->System
and it shows me errors of cdrom. When I double click it it shows me this
message:"The device, \Device\CdRom0, is not ready for access yet. For more
information, see Help and Support Center at...". I didn't find anything
there. How to fix this problem? Did anyone had the same problem? I'm Using
WinXP Prof (SP2)

Instead of disabling it, try uninstalling it. Then, under "action" click
"check for hardware changes". It will find it and reinstall it, perhaps in
better working order. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling it and then
rebooting.
