I use combo boxes to set the contents of a column of cells. There is one combo box for each cell plus a master combo box that can set all the cells at once. The problem is that if I use the master, the entry shown in the individual combo boxes does not update to show the new setting e.g. if I select ‘1’ in each of the individual combo boxes, the link cells change to ‘1’s as they should but then if I select ‘2’ in the master combo box, the link cells all change to ‘2’s but the individual combo boxes still show ‘1’.
Most of the drop boxes were created in Excel 2000. I am now using Excel 2003. The problem seems to have just appeared – it worked fine when I first started using 2003. If I open the same workbook in 2000, the combo boxes work as they should (but going back to 2000 isn’t really an option).
