Is there a way to increase the font size of the text in a combo box?

yes.
right click the combobox in design mode.
property sheet>font>click on the small square. set to whatever you want.(or
is available)

Thank-you. One question... What is design mode? I can see ther is a choice
to enter this mode on the run toolbar in VB. Is it pease possible to provide
a quick run through?

hi
depends of which combo box you used.
if you used a form combo box and are in the vb editor(alt+F11) then you are
in design mode. just right click the combo box and click properties form the
popup.scorll down to font.
if you use a sheet combo box, then from the controlbox toolbar, click design
mode.
(roll mouse over the icon. a tool tip will display "design mode". Looks like
a protractor with ruler and pencil) then right click the combo box, then
click properties from the popup. scroll to font.
