Combo box pulldown menu is suddenly blank, yesteday fine.

I have a combo box in a form.
The row source is a sql statement defineing a query of 9 fileds.
The bound column is value 1, which is an integer value.
The 9 column widths are 0cm;5cm;0cm;0cm;0cm;0cm;0cm;0cm;0cm such that the
second text field is shown in the pull down list and ultimately the combo box
when selected.
This has worked fine, however today the pull down field is blank. If I
select a random blank field then data is selected and the combo box shows the
correct value.
I've looked again at the sql statement which is fine and shows all the data.
I've increase the column widths to show all the data. All the data shows
except for the text field I want to see.
I have also gone back through all my backup copies which similarly had been
working fine, on 2 different computers and the same issue now presents
itself. I'm baffled.
I havn't changed any settings or introduced any new features.
Any ideas, help please!!!!

Have now seen the posting "Combo Box Display Missing After Offices 2003
Service Pack 3" Its the same issue.

Will keep wathcing for the fix.
