I have an Access 2003 application that is used by several people. A few days
ago, a combo box control on my main form stopped working correctly. When the
picklist for the control is opened, it appears to be empty. It's not; if the
user 'picks' a line from the list, the value is passed to the underlying code
correctly. They just can't tell which line they are picking. I have tried
changing the background and foreground colors but this does not resolve the
problem. I have noticed that where the application is working correctly the
Access version and build are 11.0 and 6566 respectively. Where it is not
working correctly, the version and build are 11.0 and 8166. I do not know if
our IT group recently applied some Office or Windows patches but it seems
likely since our machines do not all have the same build.
