Combo Box not populating?

K

KenB

Just finally deployed Office 2003 SP3 via WSUS to my users. Now the
developer is complaining that some of his combo boxes that are populated via
query are not filling in all of the data. If you go to the Query builder,
and run it from there, it returns all of the values properly.

What do I need to do for the combo boxes to properly fill in? We're talking
3-4 columns within 1 combo box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

uh 'test your apps' before pushing a new service pack out?

Get some real developers that can fix their own combo boxes?

uh 'don't trust Microsoft for stability inside of MS Access'

or D) all of the above

Have the ColumnCount and ColumnWidths properties been set up correctly?

There's a hotfix for this problem.

Hi Graham-

Yes, they were working prior to SP3 getting deployed... Tony's suggestion of
the hotfix worked on the developer's machine. Now I gotta get it sent out
to all 300 machines.

Thanks anywho!

Hi Tony-

That did the trick on the developer's PC... If only WSUS could deploy it for
me!

Thanks again

Glad I could help. I have no idea how WSUS works. Presumably you
can't tell it to send out a hotfix?

Nope... at least it's not appearing that way. There's an "Import Updates"
function, but it's got to be available in Microsoft Update for the WSUS
server to pick it up.

Oh well... script it at login!

Thanks again for your help!

Yeah no shit you have no idea how WSUS works.

IT USES SQL SERVER!!!

PS - the whole 'script it at logon' you could do it with a batch
file-- or you can deploy a MSI installer -- throgh Active Directory--
without SMS-- with ease.
