combo box error

I am trying to use a combo box to find a record - this works for some
records but for others it goes into a continual loop and the program has to
be closed down. I have never experienced this before. If I flip through all
the records manually no error occurs. The form has 2 subforms on it - anyone
experienced this before?
 
Can you post the code you are using for the search?
A full code please includes the error trapping, if you have.
And where do you call it from?
