I am using XP, Excel 2002. I am using a spreadsheet not
designed by me that contains macros, drop boxes and check
boxes. When I either print or print preview, the drop
boxes all shift left and overlap the other cells. If I
save and close, they stay that way and can't be moved. If
I print and close without saving, they go back where they
were.

There are two of us in the office that are having this
problem, no one else seems to. I don't recall having this
problem before switching to a new PC with XP, the other
user is on Windows 2000.

Any help appreciated.

Thank you so much -I see there's a "hotfix" for it dated
May 13, 2004, but I can't seem to find a link for it. Can
you possibly point me in the right direction?

The fix is to change the setting from the default of "move but don't size with
cells" to "move and size with cells". For a control from the Forms toolbox,
you do that via the Format/Object. For a control from the control tool box,
get into design mode, select the object(s). At that point you can go to the
Format menu, as above, or you can show the properties window and change the
setting for Placement to 1.
