combining seperate word documents into one

Is it possible to combine seperate word documents into one document without
cutting and pasting? Example: two chapters of a book saved as individual
files combined into one file yet retain original formatting for each. Any
ideas?

At the end of the ch. 1 doc you can use Insert> File to insert ch. 2 - If
the two docs are formatted using the same styles and you want continuous
page numbering, etc. that should be enough. However, if there are
differences in the docs you'll need to create a Next Page Section Break at
the end of the ch. 1 doc before inserting the other.
