Combine If/Lookup?

Question:

Cell A1=x

C1 C2
1 $10
2 $20
3 $30

If A1=3, I want to add the sum of C2 which will be $60.
Vice Versa, if A1=2, sum=$30

Can someone help with a formula? Thank you very much!

One way that appears to work:

=SUM(INDIRECT("B1:B"&A1))
