Can anyone help, have tried to restore my com to an earlier date,
but keep getting told to choese another date, which i have done ,
but Still get told to try another date, just will not restore

Not really enough information to give you focused help. Some general
troubleshooting:

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus
status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and
versions) did you use to determine this?

Com = computer????

System Restore is apparently easy to be rendered useless. Several
viruses / spywares can break the System Restore. Also, several anti-
virus software system will break it (Norton Anti-Virus has a know FAQ
on this.)

You should repost your question concerning the exact problem you are
having with your PC and why you are trying the System Restore.
