Com port problem

I have standard modem connect via com1 port to PC.
Sometimes my dial-up connections cant work. Error message
is "Port already open". What service or process I need restart?

Hi Marian,

If you are using a 3Com modem and its port-monitoring tool is installed try resolving
the problem by removing the monitoring software and rebooting. For more information
