Can anyone tell me ( I'm NO guru) I think dummy first class fit real well!
How to enable my com2 port (again). It worked for a while and then stopped.
My modem is on Com3, and other stuff is on com1. Your help is gratefully
appreciated.

Check to seen if the COM2 port is enabled in the BIOS.

I checked my system info: IRQ4 COM1
IRQ3 COM2

This appears under Hardware Resources and conflicts and sharing. I
appreciate the help.

So it appears you have com 2. Maybe if you explain exactly what it is you're
trying to do, and how you're going about it, someone could help. Where are
you trying to enable it, and are sure you actually have a second com port on
the computer? Most newer computer have only one com port. Yours may have a
second port or maybe it's an add-in of some sort, but without knowing a
little more, it's hard to give specific advice.

The modem isn't connected to a com port, by the way, it is a com port.

If you can afford it , why not get a Highspeed internet connection through
a highspeed internet connection cable company?
