columns and rows labeled the same (cell 1-1 vs a-1) how do I chang

Goto>Tools>Options>General>uncheck R1C1 reference style.

thanks, never had to ask a question before...we just upgraded to 2007, where
is the tools option???

The biggest icon in upper left corner (Office button) -> Options of Excel
appliation (bottom section of the window) -> Formulas (left panel) -> Work
with formulas (middle section of right panel) -> Reference style (all is my
translation, I am not native english speaker neither my Excel :-) )

| "working with Formulas " (second group down) | uncheck "R1C1 reference
