column width

I'm working on a spreadhsheet and am having trouble with column widths. When
I tried to format the column width, it tells me that the document is 'read
only' and will not let me adjust - tho I've been using this form for MONTHS
and have had no problems. The only thing that's different now is that I'm on
Windows Vista - will that make a difference??

Anyone have any ideas on how I can adjust the column width ?

Click Tools > Options > Security and uncheck the Read-only Recommended box.
I don't use Vista, but I don't think it is a Vista-related issue.
