D Dave Peterson Nov 7, 2004 #3 You can merge cells across columns: Select A7:g7 format|cells|alignment tab check the Merge cells box but merged cells can cause trouble. Depending on the version of excel, it can be scary to insert/delete columns, sort data. I only use merged cells when I know there is no other alternative--I don't like them.
