column that has general information

Hi all,
I have a column that has been formatted to general, for the data type.
I need to select 3 types of data out of that column and insert them in
a new column, right beside it, so I can compare them. Basically, I need
some type of function that will filter out: "NT, TS, and PB" in the
column and I have have to compare them.
Any help would be appreciated,

not really sure what you mean with filter out. Could you give an
example with your expected result?
