Column resizing error

I am using Excel with Financial Reporter (links to Accpac accounting software to obtain data).

I have some columns that are far too wide, but when I try to resize them the tiniest bit, I get the message "Cannot shift objects off sheet". How do I find out what objects are causing the problem? I don't have anything in the sheet other than data & instructions.
