column headings not showing in subreport

I am using a subreport and the column heading show in the page header of the
subreport but do not show in preview mode. Any ideas?
 
Move the column heading labels from the Page Header to the Report Header or
a Group Header.
 
By coincidence it's exactly a year since this question and answer were posted
but it is exactly what I needed to solve a problem that has come up on
several subreports I created.
Thanks for your response a year ago because it is still helping now.
