Colour coding individual records

I work in education and store student performance in an access database and
would like to know how to colour code individual records in each field. For
examaple, I wish to identify the performance of each student in each subject
they study as either, green, amber or red. Unfortunately at the moment I can
change the colour of the whole field to red or amber or green but not
individual records within the field. So for example, pupil A's performance in
English is coloured red, in Maths it is coloured amber and in Science it is
coloured green and so on.

Apologies if I have not made myself clear enough.

Use Conditional Formatting with A2K or higher.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I am unfamiliar with the terms, A2K or
higher. If it is possible could you clarify what I need to do.

Steve is saying you can use the Conditional Formatting property if you are
running Microsoft Access (2000) or Newer (A2K or Higher). If you are still
running MicroSoft Access 95 or 97 you have to do some other workaround.
