minimize any open windows. right-click an empty area on the computer desktop and
select "personalize." a new window will appear.
click the "windows color" link at the bottom of the window. click "advanced
appearance settings." the window color and appearance window will appear.
click the "item" drop-down menu and select "scrollbar."
click the up or down arrow in the "size" box to increase or decrease the size of
the vertical scroll bar in windows, which increases or decreases the size of the
scroll bar in excel as well.
click the "ok" button to save the settings and close the window. launch excel on
the computer to view the changes to the vertical scroll bar.
