Can anyone tell me please how I can colour tabs in
workbooks please

Only possible with XL2002 and above. If you have that, right click on the
tab and you'll see the option.

If you are using XL 2003, Format | Sheet | Tab Color. Or just right click
the tab, and choose tab color.

XL 2000 and earlier, you cannot set the tab color. I am not sure about XL
XP.

Ken,

I *think* XL 2002 is XP and XL 2003 is XL 2003. I know I made the same
mistake before too.

Microsoft Office XP track is all 2002 software.

Office 2003 Editions Track is all 2003 software.

LOL - you misunderstood me - I meant it is the same in XP as in 2003 wrt the
last part of Frank's note regarding this option, but admittedly could be taken
