When using Windows XP Style / Color Scheme there are only three choices.
"Default (Blue)", "Olive Green" and "Silver". Customize support for this is
minimal. Since other programs such as WinBlinds cna change all this, there
has got to be a simple way of doing it such as making changes in the
Registry. Does ANYBODY know of a way to do this (In Windows XP Style)
without having some third party software running in memory such as
Winblinds?

Use the patched uxtheme.dll file. This allows you to use modified ..msstyles files. Modify the bitmaps in your .msstyles file using a resource editor.

Now, Keith....if he caught all of that and applies it, good on him. <w>

Well, I'm always willing to delve into a more detailed answer once I'm sure someone is actually following and interested. Sometimes all folks need is a nice, specific search word (uxtheme.dll v.s. 'color scheme') to get them going in the right direction.

P.S. Dennis brought us just over 2 inches of much needed rain...how did you fare?
