Color of highlighted email

When I open Windows Mail, and select an email to look at, the color that
highlights the email in the list is so light, we can barely see which email
is selected.
How can I change the color of the selected email?
 
This is a very common complaint. I have the same problem.
I don't know what, if anything, can be done about it.
