Color Mapping!?

Hi,

Say I have a column of 100 values. I want to color each, identical
values get same color.

In Excel, there is about 56 ColorIndex values. So, sometimes, I see
two cells have same color although each has a different value!?!

What should I do to prevent this?

if you have 100 different values
if you have 56 different colors

you have a problem.

so you need to use an additional property.
(you could change the fill not to be solid but a 'hatch' pattern
or you could also set the font's colorindex ..

as long as you stick to excel's limit of 4000
different formats per workbook.. you should have some playing room.

although I'd reconsider my design. NO user will be able to easily
differentiate between 56 colors, and instantly graps the color's
meaning. plus your sheet will look like a XMAS tree.
