i need to backup my collections file to transfer to a different computer also running wmm. however, when i try to follow these directions from the help file

"In My Computer or Windows Explorer, locate the following folder on your computer:

\Documents and Settings\UserAccountName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Movie Make

Select the collections file Mediatab.dat file in the folder.

i can't fine anything beyond my account name. i've search for local settings through the end, including Mediatab.dat and get nothing

that's for the link.

however, as i stated, i cannot find this string of folders:

Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Movie Maker

on any of the three Windows XP (Home and Pro) computers that i have. i have looked in all the user folders (owner, me, administrator) and have searched the hard drives for the .dat file to no avail.

any other ideas???

many thanks

krik

Maybe they are in a hidden folder or one associated for another user.
There's always one, as MM2 will create a new empty one if there isn't one.
