Collecting OS Info???

How does one go about collecting what Operating System their visitors are
using?

When I try to check (from a published web) I get the error:
"The requested usage information is not available. Either there is no data,
or it is not being tracked. To collect this information contact your server
administrator."

Does this mean this is something that needs to be done from the server side?

Pretty much any web statistics program or script will include things like
the user's browser and their OS.
Search around.

Perhaps your host even provides such a thing....? e.g. through CPanel or
other control panel for your hosting account.
