Code-39 Font issue

Hi all,

I have a user who is questioning if she's actually having a problem She has
a document that she performs a mail merge on, and one of the fields that she
merges on converts a number into the Code-39 barcode font. When she saves
the file and reopens it, the font is there, but when she goes to check it by
hilighting and chosing a different font, it changes to a bunch of boxes and
not the number.

This almost seems like it's not able to convert back from this Code-39 font.
Is it that when it converts to that font it, more or less, converts it to an
image that it can't convert back from?

A bit perplexed.
