R Rick \Nutcase\ Rogers May 17, 2005 #2 Hi, Have you checked with the scanner manufacturer? The code looks similar to a real mode offset memory address, so there may be a compatibility issue. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

D Don Hardie May 21, 2005 #3 Rick The scanner manufacturer couldn't help so I reinstalled Xp and SP2 separately and now the scanner works properly. Last time I did a reinstall it was from a slipstreamed Xp and SP2 CD and it seemed to install ok. Thanks for your thoughts Don Rick "Nutcase" Rogers said: Hi, Have you checked with the scanner manufacturer? R Rick \Nutcase\ Rogers May 21, 2005 #4 Hi Don, Glad to hear it's working now. Seems curious that installing them separately would work versus using the slipstreamed disk, but..... -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP Associate Expert - WindowsXP Expert Zone Windows help - www.rickrogers.org Don Hardie said: Rick The scanner manufacturer couldn't help so I reinstalled Xp and SP2 separately and now the scanner works properly.
