Coarse Mouse Movement

I do graphics and other work that requires a really precise mouse movement.
I need to move a single pixel at a time (on my 1920x1200 monitor). Well,
using my old mouse (MS infrared) I was getting 2-3 pixel movement, no matter
how slowly I moved the mouse. So I bought a Razer DeathAdder optical mouse.
Even with playing with all sensitivities, polling rates, resolutions,
speeds, etc. it stays at 2-3 pixels being the smallest movement possible.

If I go to the Mouse in Control Panel (not Razer CP), there is a check box
below the sensitivity saying something like "Precise Mouse Movement", and if
I check that, I get nice 1 pixel movement, without a real difference in
cursor speed. Great! But - as soon as I reboot, it's back to 2-3 pixels (and
the checkbox is unchecked).

I've tried a couple mice on different USB ports with different drivers, and
it always seems the same. Any idea how to keep nice, precise mouse movement,
without changing the setting in CP on every reboot??

You could try this. Go to C:\Windows\System32 and right-click on the file
main.cpl. Choose Run as Administrator.
