It is very sad to see that Microsoft who invented
Microsoft Internet Explorer cannot get rid of the
hijacker "cnsMin" a search page hijacker. I have run the
microsoft anti-spyware four times and it is still there.
Actually, it is a bit funny if not so sad!

What application gives that name?

A tools, suspected spyware report is the way to get this on their radar
screen if you are able to do that.

If Microsoft Antispyware doesn't identify this bug, it isn't going to clean
it.

If it does identify it, it should be able to clean it, but may need the
machine started in safe mode to help it.

Thank you so much Bill and Andre for your help. I have
not used safe mode yet as everything on that page is in
chinese but I will get to it.
When I used Microsoft's anti-spyware (four times) it
identified the "cnsMin" hijacker four times and told me
that it deleted it four times, BUT, it is still there. I
tried to send a report to Microsoft but it didn't get
through to them (something about my sockets). could
someone please tell Microsoft that their software doesn't
work with this hijacker (no wonder--- 3721.com which gave
birth to it is a Chinese company of over 100 people here
in Beijing and there is no way that they are going to let
Microsoft interfere with Internet Explorer......hahaha.
Since I am in Beijing, maybe I should go down to that
company and punch somebody out....hahaha

Safe mode has a lot of excess wording, and on XP gets you into Help and
Support, which you can exit, and then just use Microsoft Antispyware
normally.

I'd stay away from them myself--I would expect that they are probably well
financed, and thus protected in various ways.

I took a look at 3721.com. I clicked around a bit, and even did a search on
their version of Yahoo's search engine--it did very well. I didn't run into
anything bad.
