CMOS/BIOS Update

JCO

Accidentally updated the bios of from the wrong computer. Don't know how to
fix.
I have the current (good) bios on a disk but have no way to invoke it onto
the computer's bios (to restore to original condition). My disk contains
the correct *.bin file and has an Flash.exe program on it. It seems the
only way that would work is if my computer is already running (which it is
not). No way to boot to this disk or a win98 disk.

Manual says I can unplug computer, remove battery & short the jumpers pins
to erase the CMOS, however, the manual is wrong because the pins (for
shorting) don't exist.

Any options out their?

Go to www.bootdisk.com and get the file to make the bootdisk, then boot
from that. The use the floppy with the BIN file and Flash.exe to get you
back. If the system will not boot from floppy you will probably have to
send the motherboard back to get the BIOS fixed.
