Cmd Prompt for Dos program ?

When I try to run an older DOS program, the cmd window appears with a blank
cmd screen. The cursor blinks, but nothing can be entered (typed) and the
program does not run.
Any Help ?

Two command-processors are available, cmd.exe and command.com

to launch either, type 'cmd' or 'command' into a run box.

command.com more closely matches the older versions of DOS, whereas most
people (I think) agree that cmd.exe works better for the vast majority of
apps. Give both a try, anyway.
