cmd in minimized mode?

is it possible to run .cmd files in minimized mode?

I execute batch files via the scheduler using SAS and while SAS itself runs
minimized, the batch command pop up the familiar cmd window (and then
automatically disappear)

You need a DOS mode (pif) shortcut, and there is a trick. If you make a
shortcut simply to a .bat file you get a Windows lnk one. So make it to
a DOS .exe program - r-drag it; create shortcut. Then r-click that;
Properties and on the Program page change the Command line to the
path\filename.bat you want to run, and then below select Minimised (and
if you want, Close on Exit)
