close a group of windows

If I have say 30 windows open, is there a way to close all but the first two,
all at the same time?

Right now I right click and close each one from the task bar which is very
tedious. I don't want to close the group because I'm signed in to work in my
first opened windows.

Or is there an add on that can do this? I would like to be able to just
mouse lasso to highlight the ones I want to close, or ctrl-click to select
them.

Hi,
Hold down Ctrl, (left) click the button of each window you want to close,
right-click and close one of them. All of the others should close with it.

That did not work from the task menu. When I left click on the task menu, I
am not able to then hold down Ctrl and select with (left) click the windows I
want to close.

I'm not sure which "button" you are referring to.

I am trying to close a group of windows from the task bar rather than
closing them individually. I don't have to do it from the task bar if there
is another way, but that is a fast way to view all open windows at once.
