Is there a way of displaying date as well as time on the clock display is
systray (other than making the task bar 3 'rows' tall?

Enter tclockex in Google to find a download site for the utility.

If you install it, it allows you to add the date so that it displays nicely.

Yes it did and you received several responses. Search for them by
searching on your posting name using Google groups search.

Simply "mouse-over" the time display! Why complicate things?
