Clock malfuntion?

Everytime I turn on my PC the time and date have changed -
they are incorrect by random amounts thus not simply a
different timezone. Of course I know how to change in the
properties dialog but that doesn't remain. It is
affecting the emails I send out via Outlook. Often the
time is in the past thus the email ends up way down in
their InBox and often missed.

When was the last time you changed the battery on the motherboard?
If your computer is nearing 5 years old, the battery may be dying.
