Hi,

If I copy some text to the clipboard and then launch MS Word XP, the
clipboard is erased. If I launch Word first and then copy text to the
clipboard, the text remains on the clipboard. Any ideas ? TIA.

Regards Colin.

They are two different clipboards.

If you want to copy and paste in MS Word, you have to open Word first
in order to use the Word clipboard.

[[The Office Clipboard and the system Clipboard

The Office Clipboard is related to the system Clipboard in the following
ways:

When you copy multiple items to the Office Clipboard, the last item you copy
is always copied to the system Clipboard.
When you clear the Office Clipboard, the system Clipboard is also cleared.
When you use the Paste command, the Paste button, or the shortcut keys
(CTRL+V), you paste the contents of the system Clipboard, not the Office
Clipboard. ]]

Hi Wesley

Many thanks for your help.

Regards Colin.
