The clipboard per-say is not seen. When you copy text, a graphic, file(s), etc,
what you copy gets copied to the clipboard. Then when you Paste, you essentially
paste what was copied to the clipboard. If you copy a large file and paste it into
an app, such as a large graphic copied and then pasted into a graphic editor app,
when you close that app it will prompt you to either clear the clipboard or save the
contents to be copied elsewhere, the choice is yours. If you keep the contents, the
next time you perform a copy the contents of the clipboard will be replaced with the
newest copy to be pasted wherever you're going to paste it. There is a clipboard
viewer but it's hardly worth the effort to install, all you can do is view what's
been copied to the clipboard.
