I've got two PCs on my home network - my laptop with XP and my workstation
with Vista.
I'd like a quick and easy way of sending files and snippets of text between
them. Of course, I can paste text snippets into a new .txt file and drag it
to the shared folder. Likewise I can do that with files, too.
But I wondered if there might be a much quicker way, rather like a networked
clipboard (copy on one computer, paste on the other). Or can I set up a
messaging application between the two which would fulfil that role? (I've
never used any messaging apps, so I don't know what they can do).
I've tried the shareware app "Network Clipboard and Viewer", which has the
functionality I need, but the user interface is so utterly dire it's
unuseable.
Is there anything built into Vista / XP that would make this easy? Or
something I could download and/or buy?
Thanks,
Steve
