clipboard --> out of memory

When running Windows XP i use the clipboard to cut and paste between
applications (VB and Access). This works for a while but then the clip board
seems to get "filled up" and I get error messages that the clipboard cannot
be opened or I am out of memory (there is still plenty). If I try to launch
"clipbrd" I get stuck and have to use task manager to end the procedure. Any
thoughts?....Thank you.

You can use a software program called FreeRam. I believe it's a free
download.
The problem is that your RAM is not clearing, it's just a steady
buildup and it eventually
accumulates too much. I hope this helps.

Thank you Chuck; I'll get that utility. However, I didn't have the problem
with my previous XP (or any other) computer, and I always thought that the
clipboard freed up memory by itself when full or just flushed and replaced at
each use. Is there maybe some setting in Windows that is causing clipboard to
just use up memory?

Try copying "nothing" and see if that clears it. Otherwise perhaps there
is a malware or keylogger problem/infestation.

Bob,

I believe the problem is specific to Access 2007 because the clipboard works
with all other programs, only not from Access 2007.

If it is only happening in Access, you might want to swing over and ask
in the Access group about any issues relating to this under Access 2007.
