Clip Art In Word 2003

I have pasted a clip of Santa Clause in my WORD - now I cannot get rid of it.
I have tried cutting, and then saving the document blank, cutting and typing
the word Test in the corner and saving it. Yet every time I open Word, there
is that darned Santa Clause! Please tell me how to get rid of it. Thanks
