Client Side Rules and Cache

Hi All,

I have users that using Outlook 2003 Cache option and they report that the
Outlook sometimes freeze when they are connected via slow links. I found
that the reason is client side rules (that move incoming mails to local
PST).
Is there any solution / workaround instead of disabling the rules?
Is there any option to configure rule to move incoming mail only after the
message completely downloaded to the cache?

Thanks In Advanced :)

Are they attempting to synchronize only on the headers, or are they
downloading the full item (headers and body) into the cache?

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=870926, "Client-side rules" section.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP010030691033.aspx (expand
the "Cached Exchange Mode settings" section to see suggestion for slow
connection)

Per the last articles, and since the problem occurs over slow links, see
what happens if your users switch to downloading only the headers. Any
rules that test on the contents of the body won't fire. If switching to
header-only downloading doesn't work but the rules work after disabling
the Exchange caching, my choice would be to keep the rules working and
disable caching.
