Hello,

I have several client PC's running on our network with XP
Pro. Server is Windows 2000 Server.
This week I set up/added 3 new client PC's(Windows XP
Pro). However a wierd thing happens on the 3rd machine-
it does not show up anywhere in the network
neighboorhood/network places displays on any of the other
machines in our office- server included.

Actually it doesn't display on it's own machine either!
BUT, I can see it logged on the DHCP on server AND it is
mappable via net use command or Tools | Map Network Drive
if you explicitly know the machine name and share name.

So, its definately there- just not visually viewable.
Any insight is appreciated!

TIA,
Glenn

In searching for info on a different networking problem, I
came across information on microsoft website on network
browser. Seems to match with your problem. Try searching
knowledge base for a program called browstat.exe and read
related material. Can't say I understand it all, but...
