When I select a hyperlink in a Outlook 2007 email it takes over one minute to
switch to the web browser and launch the site. when I cut and paste the url
into the browser it take less than 5 secs. I have tried turning off my anti
virus but no change. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Are this URL links in plain-text e-mails or in HTML-formatted e-mails?
If HTML-formatted, have you looked at the raw source of the e-mail to
see just exactly what it is that you are clicking on? The text rendered
in the HTML display is not necessarily the URL for the actual link.

Same delay occurs when you start Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe
/safe")?

Thanks for your response. It happens in both plain text and HTML. I
originally thought it was an Outlook issue but it appears it was not. I
actually just got it resolved by calling Dell. They had me modify what
programs load at start up. It appears there is a bunch crap that starts that
hogs resources and was causing the issue. Now come the tedious part of
adding them back in a few at a time to see which application is causing the
issue.

Thanks again fro your help!
