Clicking Spyware Doctor Desktop Icon will not open the Program

Hi,
Initially after starting the computer and clicking the SpywareDoctor desktop
icon, nothing happens and it won't open up. To check for program updates in
SD, I have to open the program through the system tray icon. But, after I
have opened it up in this way, it will then also open through the desktop
shortcut. Does anyone have a suggestion as to why this is the case?

From the Spyware Doctor FAQ:

"Icon not launching Spyware Doctor

This particular issue most likely occurs after performing a SmartUpdate in
Spyware Doctor. As a workaround, please try and click on the Spyware Doctor
icon in the system tray (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar). This
will redisplay Spyware Doctor back onto your desktop.

Please be patient and perform Smart Update regularly as this problem will
be resolved very shortly."

Thank you, Iceman,
for quoting the pctools info. (Rather red-faced of not thinking to look it
up myself!). I'm sure I can live with that little flaw until the issue has
been corrected.
