CLI problem

I tend to use the Command Line as much as possible and usually if I have to
put in the path to a folder or or file I just drag it on to the CMD window
and the path is inserted for me.
Yesterday I discovered to my horror that that feature doesn't work for me in
Vista.

Does anyone know how to re-enable that?

You might want to try altering the way you go about this in Vista. Obviously
you can copy from Explorer's address bar location and paste the path into the
CLI window behind the CD command, but you can also crank up the CLI window
already set for a given location by shift-right-clicking on the folder in the
right-hand pane of Explorer and choosing "Open Command Window Here" from the
context menu.

Thanks, but it's actually more for when I have to do admin stuff on a file or
folder rather than where I want the CLI window to be (In a path/drive sense).
For example, when I have to move users around I type the relevant Robocopy
command and then drag the destination and source folders into the CLI.

Yes, I could copy and paste from the explorer window, but that is so
terribly time consuming and inefficient...

I understand. I have my own favorite ways of handling admin chores, too. I'm
not much of a drag-and-dropper, preferring keyboard shortcuts for just about
everything. There are times when this user interface's seeming insistence on
a very limited set of ways in which it can be used can be frustrating. I have
to ask why use a GUI if you're not going to make the obvious features
workable? MS has some work left to do on this UI, for certain.
