ClearType compatibility

Is it possible, for example in the application compatibility tab, to turn of
ClearType?
I like ClearType, but since there is no option to turn it off, I want to
disable it for certain applications, in which it causes serious
compatibility problems.

right click desktop - choose personalise - choose window color and
appearance - choose open classic appearance properties - click effects and
then you can trun clear type off if you like

Okay, you get the points, my mistake.
Now, it is bad idea to include this in compatibility requirements?

It is not very comfortable to turn this off system wide to work properly in
one application...
